The situation in our coral tank, to take good care of coral we use the light if 430-470nm. That's how everything looks darker and bluer. This is where a filter really comes in handy.
Generally, the color temperature of our saltwater tank is between 10000k-20000k. The larger the reading in front of K, the bluer the color, the smaller the reading, the yellower the color.
When you go underwater, you lose color. Water acts as a natural filter, with red disappearing first, followed by orange then yellow. Since red is lost first, red filters are the most frequently used for shooting below the sea.
This is especially the case in blue water.
Underwater filters are designed to bring color and contrast back. They work by reducing blue light so that it becomes more even with the amount of right light.
